We believe that one of the solutions to combat many of the problems and issues plaguing our nation’s inner cities, i.e. high-crime, higher unemployment rates than the other groups in this country, income inequality, gang violence, mass-incarceration and recidivism, urban blight, alcohol and substance abuse, hostile relations with Police, etc. is to invest in the human capital of our most at risk & disadvantaged populations urban youth & ex-offenders/returning citizens by ensuring they have a vested interest in the safety, maintenance, well-being and progress of their communities as a whole.
